Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Disappointed Comment: I wear a women's size 6.5 shoe and bought the medium. This unit is TOO flat and wide to fit into any of my flat shoes! Although it claims to be for a woman, it really seems like it was designed for a man's foot. Just look at the picture - there is no curve or arch to it whatsoever! Aside from streching something like a sneaker, I'm not sure how useful this item is. I recommend women check out the high-heeled stretcher from the same seller instead. The quality of that item was great and it works in both my flats and high-heeled shoes. The shape of the high-heeled stretcher is more representative of a woman's foot and the item does what it promises. Quality of the flat strecher is also quite poor. It falls apart when you try to use it. Customer Rating: Summary: Works great! Comment: I have used this on several pairs of shoes & it works like a charm. No tight shoes for me anymore! I have even used the metal round pieces in "spots" that irritate and that worked great also. I did buy the shoe stretcher spray since most of the reviewers on shoe stretchers recommended it. The only down side to this product is that there is only one so it takes two days to stretch a pair of shoes. Customer Rating: Summary: Solid, well functioning product and very successful results Comment: I bought this product and a bottle of shoe stretching spray and restored five pairs of shoes to their former lives outside the closet. Bunions had made them too tight to wear for the last several years. I don't know if the spray helped or not because I didn't get it drenched on enough to penetrate the entire thick leather of each shoe, but I did spray thoroughly on the outside of the areas to be stretched, then put in the stretcher, left it in for about 24 hours, and found the shoe effectively stretched. One nice feature of having a stretcher is that as my feet change, I can make the necessary adjustments in my shoes. This sturdy, well-made product should last as long as, uh, my aged feet. Customer Rating: Summary: shoe stretcher problem Comment: the stretcher that was delivered was very off center in how it was made and the holes for the attachments were drilled crooked so that the metal pieces did not sit flush with the wood. I have another stretcher that appears to be a similar model that is excellent. I am looking for a better made product after returning this one Customer Rating: Summary: Does the job Comment: I used this with a liquid spray stretcher and it worked very well. I was skeptical at first given the uncomfortable snugness my leather boots started off with, but now I'm very pleased. The boot is wider and much more comfortable.
